В связи с юбилейной датой автор к благодарности редакции журнала за поздравление добавляет свои суждения о научно-исследовательской работе, где в общих чертах излагается специфика ее организации и методологии. Акцент сделан на совмещении двух сторон такой работы – профессиональной специализации и общей научно-методологической подготовки. На фоне характеристики науки как составной части общества определены структурно-функциональные особенности исследовательско- го процесса применительно к теории фундаментальных и прикладных исследований, к схеме перехода от теории к практике.

In connection with his anniversary date, the author thanks the editors of the journal for congratulations and adds his opinions on the research work, outlining the specifics of its organization and methodology are outlined in general terms. The emphasis is on combining two aspects of such work – professional specialization and general scientific and methodological training. Viewing the science as an integral part of society, the structural and functional features of the research process are defined in relation to the theory of fundamental and applied research, to the scheme of transition from theory to practice.
